Ireland from antiquity was known to pilgrims as the land of Saints and scholars. Her early Christian monasteries and hermitages were known throughout Christendom and beyond as the Universities of the west and famed as havens of peace and learning. The pilgrim routes of Ireland stretch back to far more ancient times and have seen the passage of many thousands of generations of wandering feet. Let us join those generations past on a journey of spiritual discovery in the footsteps of Saints and scholars.

Be inspired, forge your own tale to tell.

The dews drop slowly and dreams gather: unknown spears
Suddenly hurtle before my dream-awakened eyes,
And then the clash of fallen horsemen and the cries
Of unknown perishing armies beat about my ears.
We who still labour by the cromlec on the shore,
The grey cairn on the hill, when day sinks drowned in dew,
Being weary of the world’s empires, bow down to you
Master of the still stars and of the flaming door.
W.B. Yeats

Travelled with Shanakee last summer with 3 friends on this exact tour. Sam opened the door to Ireland’s past and invited us in to join him on the most amazing journey. Accommodations, food, storytelling, music, laughter and visits to historical landmarks on and off the beaten track were fantastic. Add to that a charming witty gentleman whose aim to ensure your 10 days are perfect and you are assured a good time.
